Men’s Health Week
This year, Men’s Health Week ran from 12th – 18th June, with the theme of Healthy Habits.
Men’s Health Week is an important opportunity to highlight the importance of men’s health, and to promote and support the health and wellbeing of men and boys in our communities.
As part of Men’s Health Week, an email was sent to all staff in Brisbane Office each day about how to build healthy habits in different aspects of their lives. The aim was to provide awareness to our male staff, and for female staff to share with their male family members.
In addition, Ben (Group Sales and Marketing Manager) on behalf of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee, organised to have a guest speaker come in on 21st June to share their experiences with us, and provide guidance about how they have built healthy habits in their life.
The guest speaker was David Russell, who is a well-known professional Australian racecar driver!
David provided staff an insight into how he manages his busy life with racing commitments, business commitments and family commitments. David also discussed how he manages his mental fitness, physical fitness and how he deals with the pressure of his career.
Overall, the session provided to be very interesting to hear how David builds healthy habits in his life, and deals with the various challenges in his life.
Staff enjoyed a healthy lunch after the session, to promote healthy eating and awareness.
